Make fabulous sightings of dolphins and whales from the terraces of The Plettenberg: a five-star hotel on the Garden Route, built on a rocky headland with breathtaking vistas of the sea, mountains and golden beaches.

The Plettenberg is one of the most spectacular resorts in Africa. The thirty-eight luxury rooms and suites consist of the Lookout Villa, The Beach House, Premier Suite, Suites, Luxury Doubles and Double Rooms. The Lookout Villa is an African contemporary house overlooking the bay, while The Beach House is an ideal private getaway situated next to the hotel's main building. It consists of two en-suite bedrooms, large sitting room with fireplace, dining room and small service kitchen. The main bedroom leads onto a sundeck with a private swimming pool that has spectacular views of the bay and mountains. The Premier Suites are superbly and individually decorated with under-floor heating and varied views of the sea. Most have French doors and step-out balconies. The Suites with their magnificent sea views consist of a separate lounge and bedroom, all with under-carpet heating. The Luxury Doubles are spacious and comfortably furnished rooms with walk-in showers, under-floor heating, small step-out balconies and, in some cases, great sea views. The Double Rooms are standard twin- and double-bedded rooms. The two rim-flow swimming pools, one of which is heated, visually flow into the ocean below, and other hotel facilities include a gift shop, spa, conference areas, and an award-winning wine cellar, available for private dining.

The Plettenberg is located in the popular Plettenberg Bay, on the Garden Route, in the Western Cape, South Africa. For the more adventurous there are numerous excursions and activities within close proximity to the hotel.
