Step back in time into the graciousness and comfort of a bygone era at the elegant Shamwari Long Lee Manor, the ultimate family lodge.
Originally built in 1910, this restored Edwardian Manor House offers you a distinctive Colonial experience deep in the African wilderness. The hotel accommodates up to thirty-eight guests in charming en-suite rooms, all with air-conditioning and heating. Family Suites are provided for families travelling with children. Indulge yourself in the spa and two swimming pools, or be entertained by the historic stories and legends of the area that are often told by the rangers. Meals are served either in the main dining room or around the open fire at the Barn. After your evening game drive, you can have a drink in the bar with your ranger, followed by a meal expertly prepared by Long Lee Manor's chef, or a barbecue next to a typical bush bonfire.
Shamwari Long Lee Manor is located in the verdant bush along the Bushmans River, in Shamwari Game Reserve, a malaria-free private game reserve in the Eastern Cape which has received numerous international awards, including the World's Leading Conservation Company and Game Reserve for many consecutive years. Set halfway between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown, Shamwari forms part of the famous Garden Route, along South Africa's Eastern Cape.
