Perfect for families or a small group of friends, you can have Phinda Zuka Lodge all to yourself while enjoying one of the most lavish safaris Africa has to offer.
An intimate exclusive-use lodge surrounded by densely wooded hills and lush valleys, Phinda Zuka Lodge is situated in the western region of Phinda. It has four thatched Zululand bush cottages set fifteen metres apart, featuring verandas overlooking a busy waterhole. The sitting areas feature built-in sofas which double as beds for if you're travelling with children five years and younger. Each cottage has an en-suite bathroom with a circular stone bath chamber and double showers. Guest areas include an interactive café-style kitchen, intimate library with Internet access, and swimming pool with extended deck overlooking the waterhole where a diversity of wildlife is regularly seen. Deep verandas feature comfortable armchairs overlooking the waterhole. Delicious pan-African cuisine is enjoyed in the dramatic boma (an outdoor dining area) illuminated by dozens of candles and lanterns, or served to you in a spectacular clearing in the bush under a star-studded sky.
Phinda Zuka Lodge is situated within the over fifteen thousand hectares of Phinda Private Game Reserve, in the Maputaland region of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Phinda neighbours the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, a World Heritage Site to the east. It's only 30km miles due west of the white-fringed beaches of the Indian Ocean. It's six hours from Johannesburg and three hours from Durban by road. At no extra cost, you have a host of safari activities to choose from, such as game-drives, interpretive bush walks, canoeing on the Mzinene River, White Rhino tracking, or a sunrise or sunset Mzinene Riverboat Cruise.
