Fish, dive or swim your heart out at a place that's every nature lover's paradise, Pestana Bazaruto Lodge, a beautiful and unspoilt destination, characterised by its wild fauna, turquoise seawater and idyllic beaches, and carefully protected as a nature reserve park.
Pestana Bazaruto Lodge offers a unique combination of beauty, security and relaxation, and is regarded by some as a magical place. A blend of bright colours with African-style decoration gives you the perfect tropical island atmosphere. Just renovated, there are twenty-six thatch-roofed A-frame chalets stretched along a beautiful beach and sited amongst luxuriant tropical gardens. You can enjoy Mozambican and international food at the lodge's Flamingo Restaurant, situated in the main building, with the capacity for seating approximately eighty people. The lodge also has a meeting room that can occupy up to twenty five delegates. You can also entertain yourself in the games room, board games DVDs and videos, the library and curio shop.
Pestana Bazaruto Lodge is situated in the largest island of the Bazaruto Archipelago, approximately 800km to the north of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. The Bazaruto Archipelago comprises Bazaruto, Benguerra and Magaruque Islands, as well as the smaller Island Santa Carolina, (previously known as Paradise Island). The archipelago, declared a National Park in 2000, sustains a diverse range of fauna and flora including forest, savannah and wetland ecosystems. The lodge offers a daily free shuttle service to Dolphin Bay.
