CC Africa's Mnemba Island Lodge is situated on an exclusive island just 4.5 kilometres (2.8 miles) off the north-eastern tip of Zanzibar in the azure Indian Ocean. Surrounded by an atoll of breathtaking coral reefs, it boasts some of Africa's most wonderful dive sites. Mnemba is renowned as one of the most romantic ocean destinations in the world, offering a privacy and rustic exclusivity unparalleled on the African coastline.

Mnemba Island Lodge lies 4 1/2 kilometres/3 miles off the northeastern tip of Zanzibar Island, Tanzania. The Island is 1 1/2 kilometres in circumference and is surrounded by a tropical Indian Ocean coral reef. Mnemba Island forms part of an exquisite atoll, which has been declated a marine conservation area.

Ten Zanzibari bandas, with direct access to the beach. Each banda is built of indigenous materials, mostly woven and thatched with palm leaves. The bandas have ensuite bathrooms with shower, double-basins, separate w.c., fresh water (obtained from a desalination plant), ceiling fans and a spacious outdoor
veranda. Each banda also has a private beach sala with traditional Zanzibari sunbeds.

The dining area is adjacent to the sitting room/bar. There is a small library with a selection of books, games and magazines. Guest areas are all open-sided, cooled by sea breezes, informal and relaxed. Fresh fish and seafood is served at lunch and dinner. Weather permitting, dinner is always served on the beach.

Guests enjoy swimming, walking, snorkelling, windsurfing, kayaking, fly-fishing and scuba diving (if in possession of a valid diving certificate - maximum 2 dives per day). A variety of diving courses and deep-sea fishing is available at an additional charge. All scuba and snorkelling equipment is provided.
