Madikwe River Lodge re-opened in August with a brand new look and feel after undergoing a major renovation and upgrade. The Lodge consists of a central lounge and dining room overlooking a swimming pool with a reed-enclosed boma situated on an island. The main building and 16 en-suite chalets are built in thatch and beautifully appointed - all opening onto wooded viewing decks overlooking the Groot Marico River. The new décor is typical of an African safari theme with heavy dark wooded furniture complimented by soft neutral fabrics for upholstery and curtaining.
