Once cultivated as farmland, Kwandwe Private Game Reserve now comprises an expansive twenty thousand hectares of biodiversity. The land teems with thousands of game animals. Kwandwe takes its name from the Xhosa phrase "Place of the Blue Crane" - a small population of rare bird which inhabits the region along larger game such as lion, black and white rhino, buffalo and elephant. Kwandwe Private Game Reserve has over two hundred and thirty eight species including the well-known ostrich, secretary bird, blue crane, as well as a host of eagles, raptors and water birds. At African Dream Holidays, we pride ourselves on our quality and selection of accommodation. Browse our site for further venues in the Eastern Cape, or contact us for a quote. |
