Set on the banks of the Okavango River among lush trees is the Divava Okavango Lodge & Spa or Paradishi Ghomumbiru - Little Paradise – as it’s known by the locals. This opulent Namibian paradise is surrounded by an abundance of brightly coloured birds, majestic baobab trees and is merely a few hundred metres from the Popa Falls of Caprivi.

Clean and crisp, the lodge’s décor is African inspired with thatched roofs, basket weave chandeliers, polished wooden floors and carved statues of wild animals. Guests can relax in the spacious lounge on a soft couch or in a deep wicker chair, savour the riverine scenery from an expansive viewing deck on the river’s edge or enjoy a drink and superb service at the lodge’s bush bar. In Divava’s leafy garden, the sparkling swimming pool with its comfortable selection of chaise longs awaits sunbathers.

You can invigorate and revitalise your senses with professional pampering therapies at the lodge’s Mystique Spa. Styled after the huts of the local people, the Spa boasts two open, round treatment and massage rooms, a treatment room with a Thalasso bath and a steam room. Divava Okavango is the only lodge where guests can enjoy spa treatments with uninterrupted views of the Okavango River.

The lodge’s 20 luxurious thatch and concrete twin chalets each nestle in a pretty, established garden. The rooms are decorated in neutral tones, elegantly furnished and air conditioned. Large windows offer panoramic views of the surrounding nature and a large glass door opens onto to a private patio. The modern en suite bathroom has a window-side bath and walks out to a secluded outdoor shower.
