The 5-Star Asara Wine Estate & Hotel in Stellenbosch is a luxury hotel nestled amongst the vineyards of the Western Cape’s Winelands. The hotel features thirty-seven luxury rooms and suites that are spread between three buildings across the Estate, with each building designed to maximise the views of the surrounding vineyards and Helderberg Mountains. The four Courtyard Rooms are situated in the main hotel and are named as such because each faces on to the pretty courtyard area. The rooms are en-suite and elegantly decorated with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The twenty-nine Deluxe Rooms are spread throughout the estate and each has its own private terrace that offers a spectacular view of the vineyards and surrounding mountains. The Vineyard Suite is ideal for families and comprises two bedrooms, two bathrooms and both a private lounge and terrace overlooking the vineyards. The room has satellite television and DVD player. The Honeymoon Suite is named after Asara’s most exclusive wine, the Avalon. A spiral staircase winds to the top of a three-storey tower that includes a large bed, luxurious bathroom and lounge with fireplace. The Presidential Suite, named after Asara’s flagship Bell Tower wine, is an opulent suite with king-sized bedroom, a private lounge with open fireplace and luxury bathroom complete with jet bath. The private balcony has panoramic views of the vineyards and Helderberg Mountains. Dining is a special experience at Asara with different venues offering unique dining menus. Raphael's is the main hotel restaurant that offers classic cuisine in a relaxed setting. Two private dining rooms within the restaurant are available for private functions or intimate dinners. In 2009 Asara will be opening an Haute Cuisine venue which will cater to the highest level of silver service and culinary tastes.
