Hot Air Balloon Safaris

Experience the 720 degree wrap around panorama of the Magalies River Valley and nearby Hartebeespoort Dam area that incidentally boasts some of the best ballooning weather in the world. On a typical balloon safari our clients can be met, just as the sun is rising at our Skeerpoort Balloon Field in the Magalies River Valley (about 70kms north-west of Johannesburg) or collect them from their hotel.

Hot tea, coffee and biscuits are served whilst you watch the crew prepare the huge colourful balloons for flight in the calm, stable morning air. Once the balloons are ready, passengers are invited to climb aboard and the pilot gives them a short safety briefing prior to take off. Champagne is then served as the passengers enjoy what some describe as "the closest thing to heaven known to man."

After landing, which can be most fun of all, their ground crew who have been following in retrieve vehicles below will collect the passengers and drive them back to our beautiful country base where our catering staff have prepared a freshly cooked, delectable, champagne breakfast where a souvenir "Citation for Bravery" will then be awarded to you.
