Rebecca Bryer | Managing Director
After exploring Europe and the United States of America for a year, she decided to turn her passion for travel into a career. Rebecca has an impressive list of qualifications from the travel industry, including a Diploma in Travel and Tourism and a Certificate in IATA/UFTAA amongst others. Her travel experience, however, is enough to make any experienced adventurer green with envy. Rebecca has flown across the Namibian desert from Sossusvlei to Luderitz as a co-pilot, had a close- encounter with hippos in the Zambezi River at the Victoria Falls and has jumped down ravines and that is only in Africa! Her quest to the Far East which included Japan and China was just one of her world adventures. The travel bug never stops biting and summiting Mount Kilimanjaro is still in the pipeline. When she does have time to relax, she´ll immerse herself in her family and good food. Of course, exploring new places is a lifelong passion and a hobby that she pursues locally as well as internationally. It is her love of working with people and sharing her experiences that gave life to the concept of African Dream Holidays. His illustrious career began after he achieved his BSocSci with Honours in 1989 as well as a diploma in Information Technology. A successful career in marketing followed which has taken him across the globe. Jonathan has a passion for travel, especially within Africa. His favourite country is without a doubt South Africa, with Tanzania coming a close second. Luxury safari holidays are a firm favourite, and according to the man himself, you haven´t lived until an elephant has chased your car through the bush. Europe and the Middle East are destinations close to Jonathan´s heart, especially Turkey where the food and the people left a marked impression and keep him coming back time and time again. His favourite city in the whole world? New York. No explanation needed really. He has worked extensively in the travel industry and his experience makes him an integral member of the ADH team. Anri completed her Degree in Tourism and Marketing and achieved a diploma in Wildlife Management, a subject close to her heart. Her career as a travel consultant continues to grow from strength to strength as she strives to deliver excellent service to her clients. A lover of travel, Anri has travelled prolifically, venturing as far North as Egypt and Greece. After spending a few years travelling through Europe, she knew her calling would undoubtedly be in the travel industry. She has recently returned from Madagascar which she describes as her own African dream holiday. Her love of the outdoors sprung from an early age spent in the Free State desert, with a deep love of animals and quad-biking further fuelling this zeal. Anri believes that Africa is the ideal destination for everyone as the diversity of holiday options available in Africa is unimaginable, and the friendly nature of South Africans is truly unique. Rene began her career by achieving her degree in Travel and Tourism as well as both the IATA/UFTAA diplomas. She completed her BSP course and achieved her Galileo qualification. This impressive string of qualifications allowed her to travel and gain firsthand experience about destinations we only dream about. Her fervour for travel has seen her travelling throughout Southern Africa, Europe, and the United States as well as the Far East, Australasia and Mauritius. Her fondest travel memories are of her guletting in Turkey and listening to the legendary David Rattray´s stories in the Kwazulu-Natal Battlefields. But her sightseeing days are far from over, as safari adventurers to Botswana, Kenya and Tanzania are all on the cards for this intrepid traveller. Ten years ago she left Johannesburg for the manicured mountains and the postcard pretty ocean of Cape Town. She spends her days doing what she loves, which is cooking, travelling, being outdoors and watching her kids become little people before her eyes. Tracey has experienced what many of us can only dream of, such as boating down the mighty Amazon River, seeing Ephesus in Turkey and lying on the white beaches of Phi Phi Island in Thailand. But, even though she´s travelled to some of the most beautiful counties in the world including Brazil, Greece, Turkey, Mauritius, Thailand, Malaysia, Austria, Singapore and Hong Kong, her dream destination will always remain Africa. When not exploring new places, she enjoys the simpler things in life. Good food, good company and her children. Like the other team members of African Dream Holidays, she has had extensive experience in travelling the world. Thanks to many holidays and sporting opportunities, Michelle has spent time in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, London, Namibia, the United States and Australia. Michelle has achieved qualifications in Travel and Tourism, as well as in Marketing and Management. Her studies were followed by a trip to London and New York, and finally Aspen, where she worked for five months in a ski resort. A sports fanatic, Michelle has competed at international level. These days she's taking it easy and enjoys her sport at a club level. Skiing on both water and snow rates highly on her list of favourite things to do, as well indulging in a good book or movie, and generally getting the most out of life. Michelle has a passion for both travel and marketing, a passion she can put to good use at African Dream Holidays! The travel bug had bit, and soon Marc found himself back on a plane headed for the Far East and Europe. Africa has always been his home and some of his fondest memories have been of travelling in and around southern Africa. Marc has listed the Eastern Cape as his favourite destination and there is no surprise why, as the area boasts some of the country´s finest scenery. His ideal spot is Coffee Bay, which is home to the famous Hole-In-The-Wall, as well as some of the area´s nicest beaches. Marc´s other love is music and he is a keen music producer and sound designer, after having studied Sound Engineering at Cape Audio College in Cape Town, where he is now based. Cape Town has been the life-long home of Rebecca, the founder of African Dream Holidays, and as intrepid a traveller as she is, the beautiful city will keep calling her home. Born and bred in Zimbabwe, Michelle has a deep affinity for the African continent, having spent her early years on houseboats on Lake Kariba and in the Bumi Hills Safari Lodges.
Marc North-Coombes was born in Durban, the gem of the Kwazulu-Natal coast and it was here where he obtained his diploma in Web Design and Multimedia. After achieving his qualifications Marc chose to expand his horizons by travelling overseas where a holiday became an extended stay as he worked as a web designer in both the United Kingdom and Portugal.
